Automated Export System (AES) was developed as one of the projects within the e-Clo Programme, which is a part of the 7 axis Innovative Economy Operational Project.
AES includes the development of electronic services for export movements programmed and covered by the Export Control System Phase 2 (ECS2). New system was created as the modernization of existing ECS functions, incorporating them into the IT environment of e-Customs Programme. In addition, AES has been created in accordance with the current functional requirements and procedural aspects provided by customs legislation that come from DG TAXUD and national law. As a part of the AES, the new shared validation service was developed for all incoming XML messages and other electronic documents.
The implementation of AES brings numerous benefits to entrepreneurs due to improved flow of business processes in export:
• interface with the national systems of other goverment agencies within the national Single Window project,
• interface with the NCTS2 system, streamline the flow of information in the process of exiting goods from the EU customs territory,
• the opportunity of presenting and control the goods at the customs office different from the customs office of lodgment of export declaration - Centralised Clearance for export within national domain,
• the implementation of the electronic presentation of the goods covered by normal or simplified procedure.
Within the framework of AES system, it is possible to manage electronically the Proof of Union Status of goods, which it is not provided by the e-Export service.
The implementation of AES, provides innovative IT solutions to Custom Service enabling its employees to cope with any aberrations within process of exiting goods from the EU customs territory.
